I love taking photos.  I’ve loved it since I was in highschool- I used to shoot with a regular fully manual Pentax K1000 back in the day.  Now that I’m digital, I suck a taking photos of inanimate objects and cannot making them look interesting.  I can take a pretty decent photo of a person, but things…not so much.  So this article was really helpful and is inspiring me to go home and work on my white balance because my pictures need some serious help.

Hey that’s not a zucchini! Grilled cucumber recipe

I’ve been pretty good about eating my vegetables lately, but this means I have to be very creative because I really don’t LIKE vegetables…

I made an error when cooking the other day…  I meant to slice up some zucchini and grill them up for some awesome tastey goodness…  So I pulled out the large green vegetable, sliced it up, and realized….um….that’s a cucumber.

American Apparel knockoff clutch

HI!  I made a bag/clutch! 

My sister -who is way more fashionable than I-  asked me to make her a clutch.  She was very specific about how it would look and wanted it to basically be a knockoff of this:

This is a pouch from American Apparel that is selling right now for $68.  It’s showing up all over fashion bloggy land and my sister has it on her radar but doesn’t want to pay $68 for it.  I would actually kick her if she DID pay that for a zippered pouch, but that’s just me.
